Study Group students share their experiences of studying the Prepare for Success virtual university preparation course

Following the shift to online education provision delivery last year due to COVID-19, Study Group introduced a free virtual preparation course called Prepare for Success. The purpose of the online programme is to successfully prepare its pathway students for their academic journey and to successfully progress to university-level study.

The preparatory course has proved immensely popular with more than 3,000 students joining across two intakes last year, with a third intake on its way this summer.

This early preparation gives students a head start as they immerse themselves in the higher education experience and prepare to make the transition from home to overseas study.

Several Study Group student ambassadors have written blogs, reflecting on their experience whilst studying the course and how it has helped develop their confidence in their academic studies.

Ananda from Indonesia – Bellerbys College

Ananda shares her experience of the Prepare for Success virtual preparation course. Some of Ananda’s highlights of the course include the variety of the different topics throughout as well as the comprehensive enrichment programme enabling her to stay active and make new friends online.

Devika from India – Bellerbys College

Devika, a student ambassador from India, shares her experience of studying the Prepare for Success programme ahead of starting her A Levels last September. She talks about how being as prepared as possible is essential when starting something new and was therefore thankful that the course provided practical information about the UK whilst allowing her to practice her English language skills on a regular basis.

Aaron shares his perspective on the many things he enjoyed about Prepare for Success from the warm welcome he received from the moment he logged on, to the exclusive study materials that he found very useful in helping to develop his confidence as well as the engaging enrichment activities he participated in.
